Design something I’m just starting to really get into, and I think that its something that I’ll really come to appreciate with age. Large or small scale, I’m constantly interested in what new spins people are putting on things. I think thats because I like to think that I’m doing something different too. Or maybe I just like pretty colors and shit.

iWatch? Fuckya.

Don’t get too excited, but its coming (MAYBE!). Right now its just a concept but hopefully they put it out. I would definitely buy one. This would integrate really well with the Nike+ running stuff I think. Plus, it’d be awesome, until you break it.

Mothers Day Projects

So Steve and I came up with the idea of making a bunch of Warhol-esque works of portraits that he’d taken of my sister and I. I found the whole process quite interesting so I took some pics on the process and final result. Eventually, I did 4 (two of my sis and two of me) and we printed, plaqued and framed them as one work of art. Haha.

Started with a normal picture of D. Take out background, grayscale.

Do a threshold to make it contrasted, and take each individual part of the portrait. Make them separate layers.

Color in each different section with Warhol-like colors haha.

Finally, after hours of work, I’m done haha. Now 3 more to go…

Dat iPhone 4g.

So even though I’m a loyal Blackberry user, I found this pretty interesting.

Someone at Apple probably feels really stupid right now, after leaving the new prototype of the iPhone 4G in a bar in Redwood California. Upon leaving it, someone picked it up and sent it right over to Gizmodo for the techs there to take it apart and play with. Although Gizmodo has had some false reports in the past, we can be pretty sure that this is a legit prototype for two reasons;

First, the iPhone was running OS4.0 software before this software was released. And, second, as soon as Apple heard the phone was lost, it instantly killed the firmware remotely so that the techs at Gizmodo couldn’t play with it.

Nevertheless, the design of the phone looks great and it looks like that made some changes to the design that improve the overall aesthetics the phone. Blackberrys are still good though. Check out the video below for a full overlook of the iPhone 4G prototype. Oh also, check out the “xxGB” on the back of the phone. Badass. Due to the fact that this only happened earlier today, like….an hour ago…details could still change but this is what we know for now.

I think this is pretty cool. A plug-in arcade for your iPad makes playing games alot more fun…

Wrecking Ball Lamps

Siiiiick!

I personally think this is one of the cooler iPod Docks I’ve seen in a minute. I can’t really explain much, so I’ll let CultOfMac.Com do it for me…

Consider it a moment of inspiration, and see if you can design your own acoustic amplifier.

After all, that’s all this is. There’s no electronics, just old-fashioned acoustic tricks. Like yelling through your cupped hands, it takes sound from the device’s external speaker and bounces around the metal horn, concentrating it and amplifying it. You can do the same thing if you have any cone-shaped objects lying around, or can manufacture one.

Of course yours might not look quite so stylish, but then it probably won’t cost you $425 either.

Looooove this furniture. I haven’t really been about Bape for a minute now but I still find this pretty cool…
