Yesteray I stumbled on this article called “The Past Decade In Pictures” and all I saw was death, war and violence. Hundreds of images, all centered around destruction. Makes me want to rethink doing my photo project on destroyed things.
Is this all there is, or is it just all we’re interested in?
I’ve been following Every Day Carry for a while and submitted the pic I took of my EDC for traveling a few weeks ago. Low and behold, it popped up and I was quite pleased. This goes well with the fact that i’ve been photographing whatevers in my pockets for the past few weeks, although my EDC rarely changes. Nevertheless, its always nice being featured on one of your favourite blogs.
I did in no way take these photos nor am I crazy enough to have my ass anywhere near this shit. I stole these off some news site which is why there are arrows on the sides of the pictures. Thats a gallery son.
I’m literally at a loss for words. This shit is fucking unbelievable and anyone who says Toronto went overboard with the security, for all I care, can get down there and do the job themselves then or shut the fuckup. All I know is that if something happens to Nomad I’m going to be piiiiiised.
Spike Jonze posted today that his We Love You So blog would be closing in a few days. With a tentative closing date of Tuesday the 15th, it all seems gone too soon. He had this to say;
WLYS is going to be going to sleep for a while. With any luck we will be back, in some form or another, soon enough. Meanwhile, to celebrate the final week we’ll be revisiting some over our favorite articles from our time here and also announcing one FINAL giveaway for all the fans out there.
Oh well. Spike really only started the blog to promote Where The Wild Things Are but, as he said, he had no idea that it would be this fun. Oh well. Thanks spike. Its been one of my favourite blogs for a long time now.
I was asked to shoot the MDHS Pre-Prom the other day and here are the photos. Simple as that haha. The photos turned out pretty well I think haha, but we’ll just have to see what they think of them. Anyways, all the photos are here but I didn’t wanna clog up my first page with 60 photos so just click MORE and they’re all there.
So even though I’m a loyal Blackberry user, I found this pretty interesting.
Someone at Apple probably feels really stupid right now, after leaving the new prototype of the iPhone 4G in a bar in Redwood California. Upon leaving it, someone picked it up and sent it right over to Gizmodo for the techs there to take it apart and play with. Although Gizmodo has had some false reports in the past, we can be pretty sure that this is a legit prototype for two reasons;
First, the iPhone was running OS4.0 software before this software was released. And, second, as soon as Apple heard the phone was lost, it instantly killed the firmware remotely so that the techs at Gizmodo couldn’t play with it.
Nevertheless, the design of the phone looks great and it looks like that made some changes to the design that improve the overall aesthetics the phone. Blackberrys are still good though. Check out the video below for a full overlook of the iPhone 4G prototype. Oh also, check out the “xxGB” on the back of the phone. Badass. Due to the fact that this only happened earlier today, like….an hour ago…details could still change but this is what we know for now.
This has gotta be one of the best video’s I’ve seen in a while. Basically, a bunch of great young aritsts (who seem to all be Canadian) got together to remix K’Naans version of Wavin’ Flag in support of Haiti. Notable people (for me atleast) include Metric’s Emily Haines, Broken Social Scene and Sam Roberts, Justin Beiber, Lights, Justin Beiber, Kardinal Offishall, July Black, Avril, Nelly Furtado, and of course Drizzy Drake himself.
Definitely one of the coolest vids I’ve seen in a minute…
Justin Beiber singing “when I get older” seriously made me lol.
I’ve known that it was going to close for a while, but a few days ago, Goodfoot made the first official announcement that it would be closing its doors for good. Although I was never a huge fan of Goodfoot, its a store that I’ve grown up with and I always find myself buying a pair of shoes here or there from them. I’m pretty sure I’ll still be able to find overpriced shoes, but its strange because they’ve always been so popular. I think I’m just happy that Nomad isn’t closing. If it did, I really don’t know what i’d do. Here’s the official statement…
To our valued customers and vendors,
It’s been our great pleasure to bring you some of the most exciting products and events the sneaker market has had to offer over the last 10 years of business. Over time we’ve seen many faces pass through our doors, and made great friends along the way. We broke ground for Canada’s retail landscape, and paved the way for those that followed. Yet, nothing lasts forever and it has come time to close.
We’ve seen our market change significantly over the last few years. And, as it has changed direction, so too have we. Thus the decision to close Goodfoot and shift our focus onto new opportunities has been made. There are many exciting projects to come in our future, and we hope that everyone who supported us at Goodfoot will continue to support us in the growth and evolution of our exciting endeavors to come.
We’d like to officially take this time to thank you for supporting Goodfoot. We’ll always remember the relationships that were built, and the unbelievable energy and loyalty our customers brought to this unique shop.
Alexander McQueen was found dead today in his London flat. The death comes just a few days after the death of his mum. The legendary fashion designer apparently hung himself earlier today. He will be missed. R.I.P, one of the greats.
