If you haven’t heard of Levi’s Pioneer Sessions, its definitely something to look into. Basically, Levi’s had a bunch of current artists come in and cover classics. From Nas doing “Hey Young World” to Passion Pit doing “Tonight, Tonight”, Levi’s really pulled out all the stops on this one. Personally, my favourite is Raphael Saadiq doing Stevie Wonder’s “Its A Shame”. Check it out, and also look into Levi’s Pioneer Sessions. Honestly, I rarely listen to BowWow. This is the only BowWow song I have on my iTunes, but this is pretty fire I think. Not even as much the song as the video is fucking awesome. This is a lot different than the BowWow you’re probably used to…

Kanye released the remix of him, JB, and Rae. Surprisingly, and thankfully, its better than I expected. But it because JB is kept to a minumum. Runway Love remix featuring Kanye West and Raekwon.

I strongly suggest listening to this if you’re from Ontario. Dudes out of Thunder Bay and reaaaaalllyyyy put on for his city. I’m really enjoying listening to this actually haha, its pretty catchy. Whoever produced this used the Adele sample sooo well and whoever shot this video seriously needs to consider a future in some sort of videography. For real, this video is shot unbelievably well and is perfect for the song. When it goes into the segment in color, check out how vivid everything is.

Heard this a while ago but right now I’m feeling it a lot. I really like how light and upbeat it is. If you don’t know Jonsi, you shoud look into him.

Every so often I give this album a good listen through. Today was that day.

Now, maybe it was the mindstate I was in, or the degree to which we were chilling, but when we were listening to this last night, I was certain that this is the single greatest thing I’ve ever heard. Its amazing. I have never heard a guitar solo so relaxing or amazing. I’m ranting about this because its epic. I’m so happy Cory reminded me of how much I love this song. I can’t stop listening to it. This is the greatest guitar solo I’ve ever heard. Fuck a stairway.

If I could marry someone based off the music they recommend to me, I’d probably be proposing to Alexandra Enman right about now. In this case, Enman really came through. I have been listening to this album al day and I’m kind of amazed actually how good it is. When she told me it had a “midlake” vibe to it, I instantly downloaded and I’ve been listening to it all afternoon, while I eat my mango and look out my window at the rain. Sounds relaxing, no? No. Wait til you hear the song of the day. Thats relaxing. Anyways, download the album. You’ll like it a lot of you like Wintersleep, Matt Mays & El Torpedo, Joel Plaskett or the Arkells. Its good.

Ah. I’ve had this on repeat all afternoon! Its so nice to see Lupe making music again. I don’t know how he is ever going to get his record out (he won’t change, and the record label doesn’t like what he wants to do) but at least here’s a song from him. Its really good.

I’ve always loved this video. Its one of the more interesting music videos out there, I think. Whats more interesting, is the end. The song/video is rumoured to be about a guy Thom knew who couldn’t keep any friends because he was an asshole, hence “you do it to yourself”. There’s always been a big mystery around this video because of what the man says in the end, which is what makes the video so interesting. Watch the video and you’ll see what I mean. So, what did he say? No one will ever know. Thom and the rest of the band said they’re taking that secret to the grave.

Sometimes, I have nights where all I feel like listening to is Wu. Last night was one of those nights. And then, this. I wake up to this. Fucking stoked. This looks really different because it looks like it gives a really in depth view of Wu, and their arguments and what eventually lead to them splitting up. It’ll be nice to see a different side of the group, instead of most hip hop documentaries, which are usually made of obscure concert footage, rappers walking down hall ways saying stuff, and then some interviews with people you’ve never heard of.
